Healing Hearts
In the Democratic Republic of Congo, a country ravaged by conflict and violence, three young children, Rosette, Molofa, and Muhubiri, have witnessed unimaginable horrors. Their father was brutally tortured and killed by rebels, and their mother was raped in front of them. The trauma they experienced is unbearable, and the memories of that day will haunt them forever.
Rosette, now ten years old, was only 5 when she was also raped. The physical and emotional pain she endured is unimaginable. Molofa, just six years old, and Muhubiri, 12 years old, have also been left with deep emotional scars.
Despite the trauma they've faced, these children have shown remarkable resilience. They have found solace in each other and in the safety of the Nakivale Refugee Settlement, where they currently reside.
Our team at Our Children's Home International recently visited the settlement and met these incredible children. Their stories and their strength moved us, and we knew we had to act to provide them with the support and care they so desperately needed.
We have enrolled Rosette, Molofa, and Muhubiri in our programs, providing them access to education, healthcare, and counseling. But we need your help to continue this vital work.
Will you join us in supporting these children?
Any donation, no matter how small, will help us provide the care and support these children need to heal and thrive. Your contribution will go directly towards:
